The women of Behbud and those who's lives they affect have worked for basic women's rights throughout the past 40 years.

Our volunteers have worked at the grassroots level in rural and urban underdeveloped communities, face to face with women who are not priviledged to their basic rights - rights to health, education, to work and earn and to equality before the law and at home.
By empowering the women and providing social awareness training to mobilize the community members, these women have joined processions whenever a call was given.
Behbud volunteers and leadership has lobbied with numerous NGOs, in the Senate, in the Parliament and in the corridors of power and decision making whenever the rights to freedom of action were threatened.
